Ski Bum Races
The Ski Bum Race Series is Stowe's local "recreational ski league". Races are held on Tuesdays (sometimes Wednesday) during the winter months. Races are open to all Mt. Mansfield Ski and Snowboard Club members. Most races are run in Dual Giant Slalom format and there is a great handicap system which gives each team of four an equal chance at winning the many great weekly prizes. Special handicaps are given to snowboarders and telemark racers. There's no need to be an experienced racer. All you have to do is improve each week to help your team.

After each race, teams meet at one of the local bars or pubs and feast on a free meal while they wait anxiously for the day's results to arrive. That week's winning team is awarded "The Smuggler's Bowl", which is passed around the room in a celebratory tradition. At the end of the season, an overall champion team is crowned.

The Ski Bum Race Series is a TOTAL BLAST and a great way to meet many of the local business owners and ski bums!
